By the way, best sales training EVER is food and beverage staff. The service industry teaches you so many things.
How to deal with people especially drunk ones lol.
How to sell and upsell…” Would you like top shelf tequila?” or “how about an appetizer?”
During that time the entrepreneur in me poked it’s head out and I started a beverage catering business with a friend of mine which led to buying a bar for the liquor license (mistake number one).
Which led to buying a second bar (mistake number two).
Which led to closing that second bar when I realized I didn’t really know as much as I thought about managing bar and my EGO got in the way of asking for help.
Which led to selling the first bar at a loss (mistake number 3).
All of this ultimately led me to getting my real estate license and the rest is history as they say.
Why am I telling you all this? Because I see so many agents get caught up in everything they have done WRONG.. or worse yet GIVING UP before the getting is good!
The market and the industry is changing and truth is predictions are that 30-40% of the agents currently in the industry won’t make it. I have seen it before.
And the saddest part to me is they won’t make it because like I did with the bars… the let their EGO get in the way of ASKING FOR HELP.
29 years later, I am so thankful for each one of those mistakes and failures I have made along the way that led me to where I am today.
If the market and industry is getting to you, shoot me a message and let’s chat.
I am here to help…
Warmly,
Marguerite
