If you have followed me for a while you have heard me talk about the poster that has hung in my office since the day I started real estate…

The famous Michael Jordan Quote:

I’ve missed more than 9000 shots in my career. I’ve lost almost 300 games. 26 times, I’ve been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed. I’ve failed over           and over and over again in my life.

And that is why I succeed.

            ~Michael Jordan

After 23 years here is my version

I’ve shown more than 10,000 homes, I’ve written over 7,000 contracts, I’ve lost a client over 200 times. 34 times I have lost a listing due to overpricing or poor               communication. I’ve been trusted to negotiate for my clients and lost in multiple offers. I’ve been late, missed appointments, miscalculated a fee or made an                   error in a contract. I’ve spent thousands of dollars on advertising, training, coaching.  I have failed over and over and over again in my career.

And that is why I succeed.

But let me add to that too. I have a personal philosophy and that is if I made a mistake I will always write the check, fix the mistake, make the big call, apologize and apologize big.

Now on the other hand, If I did NOT make the mistake, don’t ask me to reduce my fees. This is a policy I require of everyone on my team.

Here is what I have learned. I have taken each one of these mistakes and added it to two things. A Client DISCUSSION Checklist that I use with every single client…. I mean EVERY SINGLE CLIENT. I have one for buyers and one for sellers.

I created a Marketing Checklist, A Pending Sale Checklist, a After Sale Checklist that I use with every transaction…. EVERY SINGLE TRANSACTION.

This is how I learn from my mistakes.

If you want to avoid most of my mistakes… go immediately to http://masterclassrealestateacademy.com/home2/ all these checklists and much more is available.

Trust me the measly amount it costs is peanuts compared the THOUSANDS of dollars you will lose if you don’t.

Carry on….
