I was named after my Great Grandmother Daisy Marguerite Dawson who lived to be 102 years old. On her 100th Birthday she went on a 10 Day Caribbean cruise by herself and when I asked her why she didn’t take friends she said they would get in the way of her fun. She was full of life, wore bright colored Mumu’s and big floppy hats and she loved to sing.

She also grew up in Los Angeles and I always remember her telling me stories when I was a kid about the Rose Parade on New Year’s Day and how much she loved to watch the parade and spent many years working on the huge floats. A few years ago we got the honor of attending the Rose Parade and I loved it! My favorite thing to do on New Year’s Day is watch the parade.

In the year of her 100th Birthday she was chosen as the Grand Marshall in the Paradise Pioneer Days Parade and I got the honor of riding in the car with her as the 4th generation.

This year we decided to enter a float in the Lincoln Light Parade, it was so much fun. And what I loved the most was having our grandchildren ride on the float. Thanks to John Currier of JLC Construction for going over the top with our Ginger Bread house! It was the coolest by far

I think I might be hooked! I would love to hear your parade stories. Shoot me an email or give me a call. My focus in 2016 is to make more time to connect with all the people that have been and are a part of my life.

I hope you and your family have a Magical Christmas!
